Slough Scorpions take the first points in the Southern Cup 2026 competition at an away game with Solihull Jesters.
Despite inclement weather and a change to the face off time, Slough made the trip north and the game was a great opener for the cup competition in the League 4 table. Period scores of 3-5, 0-0, 2-2 showed how close a game this one was.
So far we have managed to organise 111 cup fixtures across the 5 leagues, leaving 127 remaining.
Currently with the first game showing as January 10th, we are 37 days or 888 hours or 53,280 minutes from the cup competition starting !!
It’s getting closer to the start
As teams are now coming forward with fixtures these will be added to the website as they come through.
Any errors please drop a note on the Whatsapp League Group
As the competing teams have now been confirmed the League Tables for the 2026 competition have now been updated.

Season 24/25 is all done.
What an exciting year it has been, with 2 out of 3 divisions coming down to the last game.
Division 1 Champions – Bristol Concordes IHC, with an unbeaten season. 10 wins and 2 draws. Will they remain unbeaten next year?
Division 2 Champions – Cardiff Eagles Ice Hockey Club, going into the last game only needing a draw but managing a win.
Division 3 Champions – Guildford Smoke Ice Hockey, they took the title by goal difference. One more goal in their title rivals last game would’ve seen both teams tie in point difference, in turn Smoke would not have been champions.
We fully expect next season to be just as thrilling!
Well done to all teams and players that competed.
Thanks to all the volunteers and organisers of each club. Rec hockey simply wouldn’t happen without you all.
Congratulations to the Cardiff Eagles Ice Hockey Club, Champions of Division 2!
25 points and 142 goals.
We look forward to seeing you in the cup next year!

Special shout out to Sup Puck.
A lot of hours travelling has been spent to take photos of all the teams in the Southern Recreational Cup.
I know the teams really appreciate all the photos that have been taken over the season.
